Camellia Cottage was formerly the Power Company shop in Karamea.  It has been sympathetically restored to boutique luxury style accommodation, which provides the following facilities:

  • Studio cottage housing up to 4 people
  • King sized bed
  • Double bed sofa 
  • Two single fold out beds available
  • Full kitchen facilities: hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and kettle, fridge and small freezer
  • Laundry: washing machine and dryer 
  • TV, DVD, CD and tape player 
  • Broad band internet available at Information Centre opposite 
  • Character deluxe bathroom - Claw foot  bath, two showers, level access shower  
  • BBQ, fenced secluded and private landscaped garden, with outdoor furniture, swing and love seat. 
  • Private outdoor bush bath, with the shower head connected to the rhodedendron tree
  • Children -  high chair, potty,non slip bath mat, porta cot, CD's, Video's, books and  toys available
  • Animals (keep outside please)- dog bowl, animal bed and kennel with run available
  • Off street car parking facilities. 
  • Close to beach, cafes, restaurants, supermarket, mountain bike rides, fishing, golfing, bird watching, walking tracks, river and estuary walks and kayaking, local swimming pool and the famous Honeycomb Caves and arches
  • Resident pet sheep 'Shaun' to feed and pat  in the paddock adjoining the car park
